PCS Medical is a local software application that provides a print capture utility to take claims from most practice management systems and transmit them to PCS for processing. PCS Medical also has daily reporting, the ability to delete or preview claims before they are sent to PCS for processing, and offers free online tech support.
PCS Medical eliminates any need to "double-enter" a claim. After installing the system, simply print all of your claims to the PCS printer that is installed with the program. It will capture the claims and store them on your computer until you are ready to send them for processing. From there all you have to do is click “Send Claims”. This will send any claims that you have printed to PCS for processing. A report is available the following day indicating the status of all the claims sent to PCS the previous day.

Minimum requirements - Must have a Windows based practice management system that has the ability to print the HCFA medical claim form and the ability to print the claims to any printer desired. The computer must have Windows 98, 2000, ME, NT, or XP. Internet access is recommended, but not necessary. If internet access is not available, you must have a modem with a phone line attached to it.
PCS Medical By FAX
Only $0.50 /claim
PCS Medical By FAX is a convenient process where your office simply faxes all of your claims to PCS's toll-free number. PCS will transmit those claims electronically to payors who can accept them and mails the claims to all others.
The process offers all the advantages of the fast payment cycle from electronic submission, where possible, as well as ease and convenience. There are no clearinghouse fees, envelopes or postage, and it saves time. Each time you fax in claims, send a cover sheet indicating the number of claims faxed. This will serve as your confirmation. We will contact you if there is a discrepancy in the number of claims received and the number of claims indicated. You can rest assured that PCS has the claims you sent.
PCS's fax service is contained in a secured area on-site. Claims that cannot be data entered will be mailed that day. Claims which are data entered are kept for 14 days for any questions and our audit process. This ensures we are performing the highest quality service possible. After 14 days these claims are shredded within the secured area on-site. No copies or images are ever retained. The Business Associate Agreement provides assurance that PCS performs this service in a HIPAA compliant manner to protect the security and privacy of your patients.
In this process, PCS assumes "double-entry" of claims for electronic payors, postage expense for non-electronic payors, and long distance service for the toll-free line.
